Mama

So, I think i may be into this, but all my stuff is so dark. I guess cause i'm using old family photos so far, but these are the only ones i feel comfortable posting: they're mine and I know they're okay to post. Maybe some scenery scrapbooks. I'm so thrilled that i can use photos, that i forget sometimes that scrapbooks are for memories. Also it's time to get some happy ones! But for now, here's my latest page and accompanying verse.

I never

I never told her of her beauty,
How wonderful the clothes she made;
Nor how her curtains brought cool shade,
In hues of yellow, blue and pea.

I never showed that i could care,
At twelve, i didn't have a clue.
My God, i pray she always knew,
She'd taught me how to grow, to dare.

That though i was too scared to face
The bullies at the door,
If ever i would wish for more,
I'd have to master my own place!

I never found the words to say
That i thanked her for her gift
Of home, of love--a spirit lift;
Too soon, she went away!

Mama, i hope that you can hear
Me, when i speak today:
I loved you. Accept the words i say!
Too late, I hold you dear!
