I wanted to QUICKLY--i do not have favorites!--get a LO done for my youngest nephew, Chris and his daughter, Nevaeh. Both of my nephews are GREAT dads, and i wanted to honor this before Father's Day got too far out of site.
I also want to do a LO of the two girls having fun with their dads' dad, so that LO will be next. Seriously, this man is playing hopscotch with his little granddaughters. I was impressed.
There may be other scraps on this theme, but if i get this last one done before the weekend is out, along with the "Heaven Sent" kit with more layouts of Nevaeh, and if my neices-in-law have pity on their whiny Aunt D, there may be more LOs with more of the family.
I'm still using the Father's Day kit i uploaded last night (see yesterday's blog if you'd like to get that kit): the backing of the preview is one of the papers from that kit and not included in it. As i worked on this kit of Chris and Nevaeh, I wanted something a little different, so i made a new frame and experimented with text on a path (boy do i need a lot of practice with this!). We do a lot of peek-a-boo with babies, so i thought that wordart might interest one or two of you. You can change the color to any other one using the Hue/saturation adjustment in your image editing software. Also did some more experimenting with trying to get bows to look different--the two i worked on are also in this addon--they are not perfect, but again, if you can use them, please do.
So here is my other nephew, Chris (the man who is deep, seriously) and his daughter Nevaeh. I don't have a picture of JUST the two of them together. YET. I'm asking. Yet it is clear that he adores her and that he is not in the pictures cause he's taking them. I will probably do a LO of "the brothers" soon, so you'll see him with her there. For now, here are Chris and Nevaeh ("Boogie!" "My name is NOT Boogie!"); they aren't playing peek-a-boo--well, maybe they are!

...still working on "Heaven Sent", and the new round of challenges for July is out. The color challenge is not up yet for Stone Art Studios--there wasn't one for June either, sigh--but DigiScrap Obsession has TWO color challenges running this month, and My Scrap Shop has their Member Design-a-kit challenge up as well--i'll be using the 2nd palette from DSO's challenge for Nevaeh's kit. We'll just have to see what happens with the rest. I hope you'll keep checking back!
As always, thank you for dropping by to look at my work. I am happy to take constructive suggestions and tips. Be NICE with your tips and suggestions! and Thanks in advance for them.
