Click to see detail (ok, i'm NOT a cake decorator!)This idea is from my sister, who is President Obama nuts. She thinks African Americans should get in there and be first to do unusual things. Now i'm certain folk have made white house cakes before, but i couldn't find one when i googled it. She's found bagels, shoes, etc. but no cake. Her first job for us was to name it, and i put in First Cake and someone else put in Inaugural Cake. She liked both and told us to make them: chocolate inside, white (and white house) outside, with coconut (hawaii) somewhere in there. On the First Cake, the clouds are coconut.
She thinks whoever makes it should call Oprah. I think not, LOL.
Tomorrow, I will (i think) offer a banana cake with pina colada glaze and a chocolate ganache drizzle! Maybe....
