Thanks, Kim, for another great month. You rock! I think you're my number one cheerleader: everyday i hear the swish-swish of the pom poms in the the back of my head!
Brandy O'Neal's (of Megadoodle Inspired) Bow action is super and if you haven't tried it, well you should! Every month since i discovered it i think, "OK, i need to move away from this one for a little while, and by gum, i make a paper and try the action on the paper and it makes my paper sing! I only used one this month, but i love it. Thanks, again, Brandy.
Also many thanks for Joy Kuoha's DSO May Ad challenge; the ad for Photoshop Elements Techniques sent me scurrying to figure out how to make "pushpins in a pinch, Buttons, Bows and Stitches in a Snap, Cool Type Effects, Realistic Textures and Patterns, Vintage Frames, and Endless Photo Effects"! In that one challenge, i think i did some of everything, and you can see some of it in the kit as well as on the layout, here.
Many thanks to all the tutorial writers whose tutorials i discovered on the web this month with a special thank you to Pat (of A Wonderful Waste of Time) and all the designers at Digital Scrapping Class, for their knowledge, patience and encouragement. Just after i finished the Ad challenge, unbelievably (ok, to me it was more than coinkydink), i received an invitation from Pat to join the DSClass! I jumped boy! LOTS of the ideas (in passing i saw a note about making stitches with the number 7, and i tried it without looking at the tutorial, putting some "holes" in where i thought they should be. I hope i did it right, LOL! I'll find out when i do the tut!) and teaching for this kit came from this site, which any of you are welcome to join--look for the invitation on the Digital Scrapping Class website.
One more thing. How about some fun, eh? While i was fooling around trying to figure out how i could create things without using an action, i discovered that you can make a flower with just about any of the custom shapes that come with photoshop elements. I'm gonna give you hints some hints. First, there are 4 flowers and each of the flowers has something POINTYing at it. 2nd, and this is the only one i'm going to tell you what i made it from, one of them is made from a neatly trimmed moustache shape. The other 3 might be dead giveaways, so i'm not giving it away. Leave a comment on my blog saying what custom shapes i used to make the 4 flowers. I post the answers with my next kit. And seriously, try it. Let me just say that you might just fall over laughing when you look closely at those flowers. Then try it for yourself. It was too funny!
This kit contains:
17 papers/fabrics
5 ribbons
5 ribbon curls
3 bows
3 buckles
2 arrow ornaments, 1 with screws
3 buttons
3 frames
6 flowers/flower clusters

2 Quickpages
All items are 300dpi. All papers/fabrics are 3600x3600 pixels (12"x12" at 300dpi)
Okay, here are the links, split up. Sorry, i'm back to the mega kits!
