Just one moment....

Roaming around the community the past few weeks, i "overheard" someone say they didn't understand why people even had blogs if they weren't going to keep them up. Well, i guess i'm one of those who shouldn't have a blog, but I'm gonna keep mine anyway. It is a diary of the work i do for myself (i have another unkempt, unkept-up blog for my CT work, sigh...): my kits, my non-ct LOs if i want to share, some of my thinking, and it goes there when i feel like it.  I don't have many followers, and folk don't often have much to say to me here, and that's ok, too.  This blog is for me.  If you happen to come upon it and see something you like that i'm offering, well it is there as a gift, no strings.  If you want to know a little about me, then you can read older posts, but if you don't want to, that's okay, too.

That's  not to say that nothing's been happening for the last 2-3 months--Much has! so i'll share a little of it now.

At the end of May, a few days before the other posts in May on the blog, the semester ended, and my consultants scattered to the 4 corners of the earth, literally.  Several of them graduated; a little empty spot in my heart...no LOs of them yet, though i have many pictures!

In June, i worked on a kit for the Hummie's World July Designer Collab Kit "Bucket Full of Memories".  I think the thread is still open here, and you CAN still get links to all kits there. If, by the time you get to visit, the downloads have disappeared, you can still pick up mine, below.  Here's a preview of the full kit::

At the end of June, i went to Tampa, Florida, with my pastor, to my church's General Synod (28 of the United Church of Christ--UCC, you know, the "God is still speaking" church).  It was a great experience, and i was privileged, as a delegate, to blog some of my impressions.  You can find those blogs here, if you're interested. Look for blogs by "ivy". I came back with the attitude of "i can do one thing and it might make a difference" rather than my usual "there's too much work, Lord, and i don't know where to start, so i won't--you can handle it!" God is still in control, but each one of us has a call that we can answer or ignore. For now, i choose to answer...

In July, right after GS28, i went on vacation. The night before i left, a young woman ran into the back driver-side of my car, right into the wheel.  I drove it to Lake Champlain anyway.  When i arrived, i was sick, and got sicker.  We were there for two weeks. I had two doctor's visits, an inhalation treatment, then an inhaler, antibiotics for chest and eye.  I did not stop coughing up my lungs (no, no pneumonia) or sleep through the night for 10 of the 14 days i was on vacation.  I was a wreck.  This was supposed to be my scrapping holiday, but it was not to be.  Well, i did get some things done.  I got some LOs done, my favorite is "My House".  And, i again participated in the Hummies' Designer Collab, this one called "Weather, Be Good!"  You can pick it up here, and here is the preview (mine can also be picked up below) of the entire kit:

We've just returned from Maine, and i go back to work in a few hours. I love my job--it IS my work--but i feel cheated, having been so sick for most of my vacation.  It just doesn't seem like i've gotten rested.  And i'm still coughing...

I've done a few LO's since January--I don't think i've posted any here since then--I will need to catch up and maybe tell some stories.  But for the  moment, i wanted to make sure these got posted.  I think i will be participating in the next HW collab (September) as well, but the semester begins in less than a month, and i am usually tied and fried, so i don't know.

Meanwhile, life is exploding at Ivy Scraps--great challenges, lots of freebies, beautiful kits.  If i can kick my little butt in gear (ok, on re-reading this, i cannot believe i said "little", LOL!), there should be some updates to my LLG Denise blog in the next day or so (i may have to call it "My Annual Post").  Even though the blog isn't current, the links at the bottom right--to the store, the forum, my galleries--those are all current.

So just below, now, are the two kits for July and one for August from Hummies' World; please see the TOU, in each kit, for the Designer credits.  I am only giving the 4shared links here: if you need MediaFire links, please leave a comment--make sure it has your email address (I will not post the comment, so your email will be safe)--and i will send you the alternate link(s).

Thanks, so much, for looking.  As always, I welcome constructive comments (moderated) and always love loving ones!
